Sport-business has known a strong growth for about fifteen years, which has induced a growing interest for sport marketing.

The interest for this research field has been led by the reality of big sports events.

Marketing agencies, sport events companies, helped by the upgrade of theoretical knowledge, which will be capable firstly of answering questions that are being asked. Symmetrically, in the academic world, during the1990-2000’s, we have seen a genuine literature emerging in the field of sport marketing.
