JSR Announces New Editor
The Journal of Service Research celebrates the announcement of Mary Jo Bitner as its Editor-Elect, along with an Impact Factor that continues to rise.
The Journal of Service Research is proud to announce its next Editor, Dr. Mary Jo Bitner.
Dr. Bitner, a highly respected professor and researcher, with more than 25 years of experience, is recognized for her contributions to the founding and expansion of the service marketing and management field. She is currently a Professor of Marketing at the W. P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University. In addition, she serves as both the PetSmart Chair in Services Leadership and Executive Director of the Center for Services Leadership. Dr. Bitner will begin handling new manuscripts for JSR on April 1st, 2013 and beginning June 1st she will be processing all manuscripts.
Widely considered the world’s leading service research journal, the Journal of Service Research (JSR) is a must read to keep up with the latest in service research. Practical and readable, JSR offers the necessary knowledge and tools to cope with an increasingly service-based economy. The journal features articles by the world’s leading service experts, from both academia and business practice. The Journal of Service Research has two special issues in progress. For the Special Issue on IT-related Service Research to be published in August 2013, the journal received over 125 submissions. JSR recently announced the call for papers for the Special Issue on Transformative Service Research. This special issue focuses on how service entities influence the well-being of individuals (consumers and employees), organizations, collectives, and ecosystems.
