Outstanding Doctoral Research Awards

European Journal of Marketing sponsors global doctoral award:

Emerald Group Publishing Limited, the world’s leading publisher of management research, and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), a global membership organization with more than 700 institutional members from academia, business and public services, seek to celebrate excellence in doctoral research by sponsoring the 2012 Emerald/EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Awards. The 2012 Marketing Research category is open for submissions now, and will be judged by the European Journal of Marketing Editor, Nick Lee. The winner will receive a cash prize of €1,500 (or currency equivalent), a certificate and the prospect of publication in the European Journal of Marketing, as a full paper, or as an executive summary/research note, at the discretion of the Editor. In addition, a number of Highly Commended Awards may be bestowed.

The European Journal of Marketing is acknowledged as a leading research resource for academics working to develop current marketing theory and practice through interdisciplinary, contextual and critical inquiry. The journal provides a forum for the publication of high quality manuscripts providing insightful and original contributions to the advancement of marketing knowledge.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Award, the research must address an issue that is of importance to marketing. The Award is open to those who have completed and satisfied examination requirements for a doctoral award, or will have done so, between 1 October 2009 and 1 October 2012, and have not applied previously for one of these Awards.

The closing date for receipt of applications is 1 October 2012. Applicants must submit to only one category.

Winners will be announced in January 2013.
