SECOND ANNUAL CONFERENCE FOR POSITIVE MARKETING: “IMPROVING THE WORLD AROUND US THROUGH MARKETING”
WITH
BEST PAPER WINNERS PUBLISHED IN THE JOURNAL OF BUSINESS RESEARCH AND THE JOURNAL OF SERVICE MANAGEMENT

The Center for Positive Marketing at Fordham University invites submissions for the 2ND Annual Conference for Positive Marketing to be held at Fordham University’s Lincoln Center campus November 1-2, 2012 in New York City. The conference invites scholars and practitioners who see marketing as an agent for positive influence in society and not simply a facilitator of the exchange of goods and services.

Scholars and practitioners from all disciplines are invited to submit papers that demonstrate the positive impact that marketing has on individuals, and on society at large. All papers submitted will be considered for the “Best Positive Marketing Paper” award. Interdisciplinary research is strongly encouraged. The award winning paper will receive a $1,000 cash price, and will be accepted for publication in the Journal of Business Research.

In addition, papers submitted in the services domain will be considered for two additional awards: the “Best Services Paper Award” and (when eligible) the “Best Doctoral Services Paper Award.” All service domain relevant papers will be considered for the “Best Services Paper Award.” The best services paper co-authored by a doctoral student is eligible for the “Best Doctoral Services Paper Award”—therefore, we strongly encourage papers from doctoral students. Both best services paper awards will receive a $1,000 cash prize. In addition, these best paper award winners will be accepted for publication in the Journal of Service Management.

We invite you to submit an extended abstract and be part of the conference sessions. Submissions should focus on insights related to the theory and/or practice of positive marketing. Extended abstracts (1,000 words or less, not including references) are due by Monday, July 16th, 2012 with decisions to follow by August 6th, 2012.

To be considered for the “Best Positive Marketing Paper,” the “Best Services Paper,” and the “Best Doctoral Services Paper” awards, full papers must be submitted by October 1st, 2012 (following the acceptance of extended abstracts).
