Dear Colleagues,

Please forward to colleagues with interests in service management. I apologize for any cross-posting.

In May 2012, the La Londe (France) Conference on Service Management will take place. I invite you to submit a paper for possible presentation at the Conference. I will chair the Marketing track. However, the conference coordinators are seeking Marketing, Operations and HR/OB papers that address service activities in the broadest sense. It is desirable, but not required, that the papers cross disciplinary boundaries. The deadline for submissions is January 20, 2012.

Here is some background information about the conference, which is rather unique. Participants interested in service from Marketing, Operations, and HR/OB perspectives come together for four days of discussion, debate, and paper presentations. The conference has been a great source of learning, friendship, and collegiality. There is a unique international and multi-disciplinary emphasis throughout the conference. Each time slot at the conference has only two sessions scheduled and each paper is allocated 45 minutes, so there are many opportunities for in-depth sharing and discussion of ideas focused on service management. The Lalonde Conference is a multi-disciplinary conference that meets every other year.
