Robert B. Clarke Outstanding Educator Award

Direct Marketing Educational Foundation (DMEF) is accepting nominations through January 3, 2012 for its preeminent award to honor an academic’s overall achievement in direct/interactive marketing, the award is named for the late Robert B. Clarke. As the CEO of Grolier, his personal contribution endowed the DMEF’s Direct/Interactive Marketing Research Summit (formerly called the Educators’ Conference). Nominated by their peers, winners of the DMEF Robert B. Clarke Outstanding Educator Award are chosen on the basis of outstanding achievement in teaching, writing, research and speaking.

CRITERIA: Candidates must be teaching full-time at a four-year college or university or graduate school. Nominations should include answers to the following:

  1. In your opinion, why does the candidate merit the award?
  2. What distinguishes his/her teaching of direct marketing?
  3. What are his/her major research interests?
  4. What information can you add that would help in the selection process?
  5. Please attach any additional information you want to bring to the attention of the selection panel.
  6. Include your complete contact information (name address phone fax email).

Final selection is approved by the DMEF Board of Trustees. The $1,000 award will be presented at the Direct/Interactive Marketing Research Summit Luncheon, in Las Vegas, NV on Sunday, October 14th. The recipient also becomes the academic representative to the DMEF Board of Trustees for a one-year term, expenses paid by DMEF (to include one night’s hotel and transportation). A total of four academic representatives may be active on the DMEF Board at any given time.
