ARC: Connections: ELMAR: Posting
The 36th annual conference of the Marketing Educators’ Association, the premier marketing educators’ association dedicated to advancing the practice and scholarship of marketing education (www.marketingeducators.org), will be held April 19-21, 2012 at the Hilton Long Beach Hotel and Executive Conference Center in downtown Long Beach, California.
The emphasis of the 2012 Marketing Educators’ Association Conference will be on topics dealing directly with marketing education—including classroom technology, current marketing trends (e.g., sustainability, social media, managing group dynamics)–and will be comprised of both Competitive Papers and Special Sessions. Conference registration includes a one-year subscription to the Journal of Marketing Education, along with the Thursday President’s reception and awards dinner, Friday lunch, and Friday and Saturday breakfasts. MEA participants at the 2011 Conference enjoyed a friendly atmosphere with colleagues from all across the United States and twelve other countries while engaging in discussions about cutting edge advances and future trends in marketing education and pedagogy.
Papers presented at the conference may lead to publication in the Journal of Marketing Education or other similar journals. But regardless of whether you are submitting a paper or special session proposal, consider joining us to share ideas and participate in discussions with colleagues who care about the practice and scholarship of marketing education.
Twice awarded Hilton’s Top Guest Service Award for excellence, the Hilton Long Beach Hotel & Executive Meeting Center offers exceptional service, international flair and an elegant ambiance. The hotel has beautiful ocean views, and is near the Queen Mary, Rainbow Harbor, Shoreline Marina, the Aquarium of the Pacific, and the excitement of downtown Long Beach.
Please submit competitive papers to Dr. Deborah Brown McCabe (dmmcabe@menlo.edu) and special session proposals to Dr. Ed Petkus (epetkus@ramapo.edu)
Papers and proposals should be submitted electronically by October 28, 2011.
