The 36th annual conference of the International Marketing Educators’ Association, the premier marketing educators’ association (http://www.marketingeducators.org/), will be held from April 19-21, 2012 at the Hilton Long Beach Hotel and Executive Conference Center in downtown Long Beach, California.
The emphasis of the 2012 Marketing Educators’ Association Conference will be on topics dealing directly with marketing education and will include Competitive Papers, as well as Special Sessions on sustainability, and social media tracks. Conference registration includes a one-year subscription to the Journal of Marketing Education. Breakfasts, Friday lunch, and the Thursday President’s reception and awards dinner are included. MEA participants at the 2011 Conference enjoyed a friendly atmosphere with colleagues from all over the United States and twelve other countries while engaging in discussions about the cutting edge technology and pedagogy in marketing education.
Twice awarded Hilton’s Top Guest Service Award for excellence, the Hilton Long Beach Hotel & Executive Meeting Center offers exceptional service, international flair and an elegant ambiance. The hotel is set amidst the beautiful marinas, the Aquarium of the Pacific and exciting night life areas of bicycle-friendly downtown Long Beach. It offers comfortable and luxurious accommodations along with the conveniences of free high-speed Internet, a state-of-the-art gym facility, and plenty of outside and inside common areas. The Executive Meeting Center features first-class facilities and excellent technical capabilities.
Papers presented at the conference can lead to publication in the Journal of Marketing Education or other similar journals. But regardless of whether you are submitting a paper or special session proposal, consider joining us to share ideas and participate in discussions with colleagues who care about the practice and scholarship of teaching. Please submit conference papers to Dr. Deborah Brown McCabe (dmmcabe@menlo.edu) and special session proposals to Dr. Ed Petkus (epetkus@ramapo.edu).
