Professor James R. Brown, co-editor, Journal of Retailing, the leading publication of retailing and related research, will present his views on, "Challenges and Opportunities in Retailing Research" with an assessment of topics getting published in the Journal of Retailing, illustrating the gaps and opportunities that these analyses suggest.  This promises to be a lively and thought-provoking event that will provoke extensive questions and discussion.

Professor James R. Brown holds the Kmart Corporation Chair in Marketing at West Virginia University, U.S.A.  Professor Brown teaches and conducts research in the areas of retailing, marketing channels, and supply chain management.  His research has been published in the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Science, Journal of Retailing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, and Journal of International Business Studies, among other major journals.
