The AMA Services Marketing Special Interest Group (SERVSIG) is seeking nominations for the 2009 Best Services Article Award:
The AMA Best Services Article Award is presented annually by SERVSIG to the author(s) of the best article in the services literature published during the previous calendar year. Topics covered may include (but are not limited to) services marketing, service quality, and services management.
Nominations for this award are due via email to Andre Ordanini (andrea.ordanini@unibocconi.it), Chair of the Selection Committee, by April 1.
The "AMA Best Services Article Award" is presented annually by SERVSIG to the author(s) of the best article in the services literature published during the previous calendar year. Topics covered may include (but are not limited to) services marketing, service quality, and services management.
Eligibility for the 2009 Award
The article should have appeared in a refereed journal during the 2009 calendar year. Articles may be from any English language journal.
To be considered a services article, an article must meet two of three tests:
- Mention service in the title of the article.
- Mention service in the body of the article.
- Cite service research in the article.
Other Eligibility Issues
- Candidates for a SERVSIG Award do not have to be a member of SERVSIG or the AMA to be eligible or to win.
- Candidates may be from anywhere in the world. From the beginning, SERVSIG has sought to be globally oriented and globally active.
- Candidates for the awards do not have to be academics. SERVSIG recognizes the vital link between academe and business practice.
