PDMA Research Competition Winners
Introduction
Anna Shaojie Cui, Abbie Griffin, Gina O'Connor, Linda Kester and Fang Wu have been named as winners of the Product Development Management Association Research Competition

The recently concluded Product Development Management Association (PDMA) Research Competition, chaired by Cheryl Nakata of the University of Illinois at Chicago, received research proposals from around the world, including the U.S., Germany, Ireland, and the Netherlands. The proposals were judged by reviewers for their promise to contribute new knowledge on new product development and innovation management. Two proposals were selected as winners, and each awarded $5,000 research grants. The titles, authors, and university affiliations are below:
"Successful Innovation through Customer Involvement: A Contingent Perspective" by Anna Shaojie Cui (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute), Fang Wu (University of Texas at Dallas), and Gina O’Connor (Renssaelaer Polytechnic Institute)
"Identifying the Determinants of Portfolio Decisionmaking Effectiveness" by Linda Kester (Delft University of Technology) and Abbie Griffin (University of Utah)
