2009 Best Dissertation Award

The Oxford University Centre for Corporate Reputation aims to deliver robust and independent research on how the reputation of corporations and institutions around the world are created, enhanced, and protected.  The Centre has established this Award to recognize and reward significant scholarly contributions to the literature on corporate reputation.  The Award comes with a plaque, a £1,000 prize, and a funded trip to the 2010 Oxford University Centre for Corporate Reputation Annual Conference, held in September 2010 at Oxford University.  There will up to three finalists acknowledged as well.  Finalists receive a plaque and a £250 prize.

To be eligible, a dissertation must have been completed at an accredited university in 2009 and provide significant scholarly insight into a key aspect of corporate reputation. All disciplines and methods are welcome if they meet the above criteria.  A committee of scholars affiliated with the Centre will select the winner and finalists.  Results will be announced by 1 Sep 2010.

To apply, the author of the dissertation shall submit: 1) Dissertation summary of 5-page maximum; 2) complete copy of final dissertation; 3) current CV; and 4) letter of recommendation from dissertation chair in which the chair explicitly details the significance of the dissertation’s contribution to the literature on corporate reputation.  Applications lacking all four components, or failing to meet the deadline, will be refused.
