The 12th annual Pricing Conference, first held at Fordham University in 1998, invites research papers related to various aspects of pricing and price promotions from both academic and managerial perspectives. The theme of the 2010 conference is Pricing in a Global Marketplace.

The conference will serve as a forum for practitioners and academics to come together and share ideas. The conference co-chairs will arrange a number of academic and practitioner sessions. The conference also will host a Doctoral Dissertation Competition in Pricing.

We welcome manuscripts in the following areas:

  • Information processing of price

  • Cross-cultural price perceptions
  • Price points
  • Fairness in pricing
  • Social responsibility issues in pricing
  • Price and the marketing mix

  • Promotional pricing
  • Public policy and price
  • Reference price
  • Auction pricing

These themes are only indicative. Papers outside of these themes with relevance to pricing are welcome.

All papers will be subject to a double-blind review process.

Papers accepted for concurrent sessions also can be designated as submissions to the Journal of Product & Brand Management or for a special issue of the Journal of Retailing. Please indicate whether you would like to submit your paper for consideration (a) for conference only, (b) for both conference and publication in the Journal of Product & Brand Management, or (c) for both the conference and publication in the Journal of Retailing. Papers submitted for the Journal of Retailing special issue must conform to their specifications, and will be subjected to their standard review process. However, the special issue editors will oversee the process.
