the International Academy of Culture, Tourism and Hospitality Research (IACTHR), based in Charleston, SC, continues with its series of biennial symposia on the Consumer Psychology of Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure.

After the inaugural meeting in Hilo, Hawaii, in 1998 and the consecutive Symposia in Vienna, Melbourne, Montreal and Charleston the Academy decided to move into Asian territory to announce its 7th conference

in Chiang Mai, Thailand
May 25 – 27, 2011
at Mae Ping Imperial Hotel.

This time the Symposium will be jointly held with the

2nd International Symposium on Sustainable Tourism Management

hosted and organized by the School of Tourism Development, Maejo University.

The main theme of the Joint Symposium will be

"Sustainability and Quality-of-Life in Tourism: Tasks for Consumers, Industry, Policy and Academia."

Please reserve the dates and consider the first Call for Papers attached (deadline for paper submissions: December 31, 2010) where you find already some topics and perspectives to be addressed.
