Special Track on Internet and Interactive Media

Arvind Rangaswamy of Penn State Smeal College of Business, and Eric Bradlow and Peter Fader of the Wharton School and Wharton Interactive Media Initiative (www.whartoninteractive.com) are planning to organize one or more special tracks on Internet and Interactive Media at the next Marketing Science conference in Cologne, June 17-19th, 2010. The following topics are of particular interest.

  1. Social media and user-generated content
  2. Online consumer behavior
  3. Multi-channel marketing and online retailing
  4. Banner and search advertising
  5. Mobile and location-based marketing
  6. Online pricing and competition
  7. Other topics related to Internet/Interactive marketing

If you would like to participate in the special track, please email Professor Arvind Rangaswamy (arvindr@psu.edu) before January 8, 2010. In your email, include the title for your presentation and an abstract not exceeding 250 words. Instead of the final abstract, you can also send a short description to indicate the type of work you will be presenting, and submit the final abstract before February 5, 2010. We will coordinate with the conference organizers to upload to the conference site the papers accepted for our track(s).
