in 1996 to provide a unique forum to research and explore the progressive world of business-to-business, or "B2B," marketing.

2010 CBIM Annual Academic Workshop
The 16th CBIM Academic Workshop focusing on “Marketing Value Creation: Process, Service, Brands
and Relationships”, scheduled for January 15-18, 2010. Each year the CBIM Workshop is a candid and
friendly discussion among academics, professionals and doctoral students from around the world. In 2009,
research and insights from more than 12 countries were presented providing a dynamic discussion of current
B2B marketing. We welcome you to join us in 2010.

Dates
 Friday Jan 15th, 2010 6:00-8:00 PM, Registration and refreshments
 Saturday. Jan 16th, Sessions: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, continental breakfast, lunch, and a fine dinner.
 Sunday, Jan. 17th, Sessions: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, continental breakfast and light lunch.
 Monday, Jan. 18th, Sessions: 8:30 AM-12:00 PM: continental breakfast included.
Workshop fee: $595.00 Academics/Professionals; $275 PhD students. The fee is payable prior to or at the
start of the CBIM Workshop. We will publish an electronic non-copyrighted conference proceeding with the
submitted abstracts, papers, case studies, powerpoints and special session proposals for all attendees.
Workshop papers will be eligible for a special issue of the Journal of Business & Industrial Marketing.
The Best Doctoral Student Paper will receive $250 and appear in the JBIM special issue.
The event deadline for submitting ideas and abstracts is November 20, 2009. Please let us know your
interest in presenting either a paper or case study, participating in a special session of your choice, or

I. GROUP ROOM RATES
Resort’s Group Rate for Center for Business & Industrial Marketing is as follow:
Ocean Front Room: $209.00
Third Person: $ 25.00
Based upon availability, the group rate will be honored 3 days prior to arrival and 3 days after group’s departure date.
II. SPECIAL ALLOWANCES:
 The hotel will honor the group rates three days pre and post on the main group dates.
 All rooms to be guaranteed Ocean Front Rooms at the group rate.
 One Complimentary $10.00 Casino Match Bet per room.
 One complimentary Welcome Drink Coupon per person per room.
III. SERVICE CHARGES AND GRATUITIES:
The following are our current service charges for 2009. Please note that these charges are subject to change.
Government Tax: 11%
Room Attendant: $2.00 per person, per day
Resort Fee 13%
Bellman $4.00 per person / roundtrip
IV. METHOD OF RESERVATIONS
Reservations for the Event will be made by individual attendees directly with Marriott reservations at 1-800-468-3571 or 787-721-7500. All reservations for arrival after 6:00 p.m. must be accompanied by a first night room deposit or guaranteed with a major credit card. Resort will not hold any reservations after 6:00 p.m. unless secured by one of above methods.
V. CUTOFF DATE
Reservations by attendees must be received by December 21, 2009. At the Cutoff Date, Resort will review the reservation pickup for the Event, release the unreserved rooms for general sale, and determine whether it can accept reservations based on a space- and rate-available basis at the Center for Business & Industrial Marketing rate after this date.
