Nomination for Editor Markets, Globalization & Development Review

The Markets, Globalization, and Development Review (MGDR), formerly, the Academy of Marketing Science Review (AMSR), is a cyber journal that publishes timely, meaningful research that examines phenomena pertaining to markets, marketing, globalization and socio-economic development. The Review is published on-line. Articles, reviews and commentaries are published/posted immediately after final copyediting. Articles are peer-reviewed. The International Society of Markets and Development (ISMD) s the principal sponsor. The AMSR was indexed in Proquest ABI/INFO; it is anticipated that the MDGR will be indexed accordingly.

The Editor manages the review process and works with the regional editors, editorial board, reviewers, authors, the ISMD board, and other stakeholders to ensure quality scholarship and timely publication. Academic aspects are steered by the Editor, with assistance from Regional Editors and board members. The Editor is primarily responsible for the generation and acceptance-quality of articles. The editor will be asked to create greater visibility for the journal at conferences and contacts with possible authors.

Jim Gentry, former Editor of the AMSR, will continue to serve as Interim Editor for the MGDR, until a new editor is selected. The new Editor will serve a term of three years.

Qualified candidates will have a distinguished academic record of national/international repute. S/he will be an active scholar with expertise in markets, marketing, globalization and development, will have experience with ISMD and/or AMSR, will hold the rank of associate or full professor, and will drive the Review to further excellence and impact. No technical expertise is required.

A Committee comprised of members from the ISMD Policy Board and the Editorial Board of the former AMSR will elect the next editor from the pool of nominations.

Nominations should be sent to:
