The SMA 2009 Annual Conference will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana from November 4 – 7, 2009. The Conference Theme is Embracing Challenges and Change: A Global Perspective. Paper submission deadline is April 1, 2009. The program includes scholarly presentations, teaching sessions and competitions, a doctoral dissertation competition and doctoral consortium, retail strategy and consumer decision research seminar, exhibits, special sessions on current issues in marketing, and an academic placement service.
A great way to get involved is by submitting your scholarly work for consideration, submitting special session proposals, or volunteering to serve as a session chair, discussion leader, or reviewer. While the major focus of the conference is marketing, there will be plenty of time for relaxation, entertainment, and meeting with old and new friends. The conference hotel is the Sheraton New Orleans on Canal Street.
