The School of Economics, Finance and Marketing at RMIT University Melbourne Australia is seeking a suitably qualified academic (Marketing). The appointment will be at Level B and for a fixed 3-year term.

Candidates should hold a PhD or be close to completion, and must have research experience. A Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching and Learning will also be looked upon favourably.

The principal responsibilities of the position is to engage in quality research activity, develop course material and effectively lecture in Marketing courses to students across the University, including offshore, as well as carry out administrative tasks of the School in both its onshore and offshore activities. An ability to contribute to the other discipline areas of the School in lecturing and program development activities would be an advantage. Preference is given for candidates with the ability to teach market research and service marketing. Other areas include consumer behaviours and marketing principles.

The School of Economics, Finance and Marketing was formed in 1998 and has strong research and teaching interests in economics, finance, financial planning and marketing. The School has developed a strong research profile in terms of competitive grant funding and research output. Marketing staff in the school currently hold four ARC Discovery Grants and two ARC Linkage Grants and regularly publish in high quality international refereed journals (at A+ and A level). The marketing team currently comprises 13 staff members including one professor and two associate professors. We teach across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, and supervise into a PhD program. We embrace pluralism in research, both in terms of content and methods employed.
