LECTURER IN ADVERTISING (CONTINUING).

The School of Applied Communication at RMIT University Melbourne Australia is seeking a suitably qualified academic (advertising, marketing, marketing research, psychology) to teach advertising theory and strategy courses within the Master of Communication (Advertising) program. The postgraduate programs in Advertising are aimed at delivering excellent graduates with strategic and management skills to satisfy demand for account service, strategic brand planning and media strategy/buying roles. The School of Applied Communication has 104 full time equivalent academic and administrative staff. The advertising division works closely with the design and PR clusters within the school and there are projects between staff in complementary areas such as marketing.

The applicant will have substantial knowledge and an academic/practical record in one/or collection of the following domains: advertising theory, audience research and advertising media strategy (including the use of media planning software), and/or consumer behaviour/psychology as it pertains to communication.

You will be expected to develop and deliver high quality courses and assist in program coordination and curriculum development along with conducting and publishing within internationally recognised forums commensurate with the academic role. Prior teaching experience will be favourably regarded. Candidates with research potential and are research active are especially encouraged to apply.
