SEM with SmartPLS

Introduction

Structural Equation Modeling using SmartPLS, Atlanta, 22-23 Jan 2009

 ARC: Connections: ELMAR: Posting

Georgia State University is offering a two day workshop on Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS on January 22 and 23, 2009. This is the only PLS-based SEM workshop (as opposed to covariance-based SEM techniques such as LISREL or AMOS) that is offered in the United States by International experts in this field. The registration fee is $1,895 (however, it is $795 for full time faculty and students). Academics (full time faculty or students) receive an $1,100 discount (total cost $795) by entering the discount code ‘PLS4’ on the registration page. If you register as an academic, we will need to verify your current faculty and/or student status.

To facilitate this posting through ELMAR, we will also grant the first full-time PhD student who contacts me after viewing this message on ELMAR a full scholarship ($0 cost to register for the workshop). However, that PhD student will still be responsible for his/her transportation and lodging (if needed). Also, I will need evidence of his/her current full time PhD student status to grant this full scholarship.

Participants will be provided with SmartPLS software, course notes and supplementary material at no additional cost. The workshop will be conducted by Christian Ringle (the developer of SmartPLS) and Joerg Henseler. The workshop is being sponsored by the department of Computer Information Systems at GSU and will be held in our brand new, state of the art, executive education center in Buckhead, Atlanta. This executive education center is convenient to MARTA (the Atlanta subway system) and to many world-class hotels, restaurants and shopping facililities (Phipps Plaza and Lenox Square).

Registration is on a first come, first serve basis.

Feel free to contact me for any reason regarding this workshop.
