Chair, Department of Marketing and Advertising
University of Arkansas at Little Rock
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) invites qualified individuals to apply for the twelve month position as Chair of the Department of Marketing and Advertising (req #: 543), to begin in the Spring or Fall Semester, 2009. The ideal candidate will have a doctorate degree in Marketing and the desire and ability to develop mutually beneficial relationships with the metropolitan business community. Professional experience is preferred. Primary job responsibilities involve further developing the Department’s marketing, sales, and advertising programs. This is a tenure-track position. Salary is competitive and rank is open based on qualifications.
Located in the state-of-the-art Reynolds Business Center, the College of Business houses the state’s lead center of the Arkansas Small Business Development Center, the Institute for Economic Advancement, and the Professional Sales Center. The College offers AACSB accredited programs at the undergraduate, MS, MBA, and Executive MBA levels. The Department faculty have won numerous awards for their teaching, research and service, and have been recognized locally and nationally for their innovative educational offerings.
UALR and the College of Business are in the center of the state’s business, government, healthcare, and nonprofit activities. Little Rock is a metropolitan area with an MSA population of over a million people. The area has a mild climate with nearby mountains, lakes, and streams, offering ample outdoor recreational opportunities. The city is culturally rich, with numerous museums, cultural activites, sports organizations, fine dining, and other attractions.

Assistant/Associate
Professor

The ideal candidate will have a doctorate degree in Marketing and some professional experience. The new faculty member will be expected to teach marketing strategy and/or international marketing in both our day and night (MBA) programs during a typical year. The university expects instructional excellence and scholarly output appropriate for a school with AACSB accreditation of its undergraduate and MBA programs. Salary is competitive.
