The American Psychological Association will hold their annual convention, next year, from August 6-9. The deadline for submissions is December 1. I would appreciate very much your considering making a submission to Division 23, the consumer psychology division. Details of the convention can be found at: http://www.apa.org/convention09/. A wide variety of submissions are possible, including conversation hours in which one or two presenters encourage a dialogue with the audience. Details for this can be found at: http://www.apa.org/convention09/session-types.html. Beyond Division 23 there is much of general interest at the conference. To get a sense of this please look at some of the key presentations at the 2008 conference: http://www.apa.org/convention08/. Note that the presention by Kelly Brownwell on diet blends consumer behavior and public health, and the presentation by Drew Western blends consumer behavior and political psychology. I will place a similar posting on the SPSP listserv in the hope of building bridges between Division 8 and Division 23.
