ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, ARTS ADMINISTRATION. The Meadows School of the Arts at SMU seeks an arts marketing and development professor to join a dynamic faculty in a graduate MA/MBA Arts Administration program. Essential are creative energy, intellectual strength, and a deep understanding of the markets and forces that shape and respond to the arts. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds. The candidate selected will be expected to be a significant partner in connecting the division to an increasingly diverse and globally-connected community at the university and in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. The position is a tenure track Assistant Professor. Master’s degree required, PhD preferred. A record of successful teaching at the graduate level is highly recommended. The successful candidate will have professional arts management and/or teaching experience in Fundraising and Audience Development/Arts Marketing, as well as the ability to teach in at least one of the following areas: Nonprofit Financial Management; Technology and the Arts; Cultural Policy; Strategic Planning in the Arts; Entertainment Industry Structure, Marketing and Distribution.
