Job Title: Department Chair – Marketing

Department: Management, Marketing & Fashion Merchandising
Job Summary: The newly formed Department of Marketing and Fashion Merchandising seeks an academic leader to serve as department chairperson. This tenure-track position is a 12-month appointment beginning July 1, 2009.
Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing effective leadership in planning and administration of the department’s academic programs, faculty, and staff. Specific duties include supervision and evaluation of the department’s personnel, assurance of learning, course scheduling, fiscal management, student recruiting, teaching, research, and professional service.
Minimum Qualifications: Earned doctorate in marketing, demonstrated administrative ability, and a record of teaching and scholarly achievement to be appointed to the rank of at least associate professor.
