Introduction

Multiple tenure track positions in the Department of Supply Chain Management and Marketing Sciences

Rutgers Business School in Newark and New Brunswick, at Rutgers University, The State University of New Jersey, invites applications and nominations for three tenure track positions in the Department of Supply Chain Management and Marketing Sciences (SCMMS) beginning in Fall 2009.

Position 1: Assistant or Associate Professor in sales management / retailing. This position requires a Ph.D. in marketing or a related discipline. A junior-level candidate is desired but a senior-level candidate will also be considered. A junior-level candidate must show strong research potential and teaching interest in sales management, wholesaling/retailing, distribution channels, and international distribution. A senior-level candidate must have a strong track-record of publishing in first-tier academic journals and excellent teaching evaluations. The candidate will be assigned to teach 12 credits a year and will be encouraged to develop new courses relevant to the rapidly changing retailing environment.
 
Position 2: Assistant Professor in brand management / advertising. This position requires an ABD/Ph.D. in marketing or a related discipline. The candidate must show strong research potential and teaching interest in brand management, advertising, consumer behavior, CRM, and marketing research. The candidate will be assigned to teach 12 credits a year and will be encouraged to develop new courses relevant to the interface between supply chain management and marketing.
 
Position 3: Assistant Professor in marketing channels / marketing strategy. This position requires an ABD/Ph.D. in marketing or a related discipline. The candidate must show a strong research potential and teaching interest in one or more of the following: marketing channels, supplier relationship management, purchasing, B2B marketing, global supply chain management, and marketing strategy. The candidate will be assigned to teach 12 credits a year and will be encouraged to develop new courses relevant to the interface between supply chain management and marketing.
