02/12/2009
The Society for Consumer Psychology will host its first Doctoral Consortium in 2009. It will be a day of intensive learning, designed to help students learn about their academic careers from being a PhD student, through the job market, and to becoming a successful assistant professor. We will also discuss future directions of the field and get to meet the editors of the top marketing journals. The consortium is intended to be a networking event where students get to know each other and meet prominent researchers in the field in a friendly and social environment.
Program:
- Career advice: two breakout sessions, one for students in the first and second year in the PhD program and one for students in advanced years
- Topic sessions: social/consumer psychology, behavioral decision theory
- Meet the editors
Faculty:
John Deighton, C.W. Park, Joel Huber, Ajay Kohli, Bob Meyer, Jim Bettman, Leonard Lee, Aparna Labroo, Jennifer Aaker, Ziv Carmon, Nathan Novemsky, On Amir, Ayelet Fishbach, and Christian Wheeler.
The consortium is sponsored by Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
