The Marketing Group at The University of Texas at Dallas is organizing a marketing conference that intends to foster high quality research in quantitative approaches to Marketing. This is a third such conference following two successful conferences in 2007 and 2008.
Papers that employ quantitative methods to solve marketing research issues using sophisticated tools are sought. Some specific topics of interest this year are:
- Innovations in retailing and private labels
- Auction methods and models in marketing
- CRM
- Innovations in technology and multi-generation categories
The conference will be held in the state-of- the-art School of Management building at The University of Texas at Dallas, Richardson, Texas. Presentations will begin the afternoon of February 19 (Thursday) and end in the afternoon on February 21 (Saturday). We plan to have one track so that there will be a greater interaction among the researchers.
There will be a discussant for each paper. Presentation time for each paper will be one hour including discussant’s presentation. The conference goal is not only to provide a forum for a stimulating exchange of ideas but also to foster the development of PhD students who will be allowed to participate in the conference free of charge.
Submission of papers: Researchers interested in presenting a paper at the conference should submit the paper or abstract to eharuvy@utdallas.edu by November 15, 2008. Papers to be presented will be selected by the selection committee based on contribution to marketing science and relevance to one or more of the above mentioned areas. Presenters will be notified by December 31, 2008. Some papers may be directly solicited from the authors. Complete papers to be presented at the meeting should be available by February 1, 2009.
Registration: The registration fee for the conference is $250, which will cover all meals. Details on registration procedures will be forthcoming at a later date.
