The Faculty of Business Administration at Memorial University of Newfoundland invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Marketing to begin July 1, 2009. Rank is open. We seek candidates who have either demonstrated research success or who have the potential to achieve scholarly distinction. Research area is open, but our teaching needs are greatest in the areas of channels/sales and marketing strategy. Teaching opportunities are available at the graduate and undergraduate levels. We plan to introduce a Ph.D. program in Marketing within the next five years.
Applicants should have a PhD in Marketing and have a demonstrated commitment to research and teaching in a university environment. A completed earned doctorate is required for the appointee to receive the rank of Assistant Professor and to be in a tenure-track position. (If a successful candidate has not completed an earned doctorate, he/she shall be appointed to a regular term, non-renewable three-year appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. If the candidate completes all the requirements for the doctorate during the first 24 months of the term appointment, he/she shall begin a tenure-track appointment following completion of the requirements of the degree.)
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The Faculty of Business Administration is a leader in management education with AACSB International Accreditation. Approximately 1,000 students are registered in the undergraduate programs of the Faculty, with another 200 students completing graduate programs. The Faculty also has an active international exchange program with universities in Europe, Asia and Mexico.
