25TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF THE ASSOCIATION FRANÇAISE DU MARKETING (FRENCH MARKETING ASSOCIATION)

MAY 14TH AND 15TH 2009
LONDON CAMPUS OF ESCP-EAP

CALL FOR PAPERS

The 25th International Conference of the French Marketing Association (Association Française du Marketing-AFM) will be held on May 14th and 15th 2009 on the London campus of ESCP-EAP.

As usual, the conference will be the occasion for fruitful meetings and exchanges between marketing researchers and practitioners, as well as an opportunity for social interaction with members of our community.

The conference will be dedicated to the presentation and discussion of works which state the most recent advances in marketing research i.e. concepts (new fields, new concepts), methodology (tools, methods) and empirical results (new areas and applications). We especially encourage proposals for contributions on emerging themes, drawing on innovative theoretical perspectives or using original methodological approaches.

As it will take place in London, the conference will also give the opportunity to exchange with marketing researchers from Europe and everywhere.

Accordingly, we especially wish to encourage:

    • Papers with a European dimension and especially works having a comparative aim and proposing applications in different European countries and especially in Great-Britain
    • Papers on the edge between marketing and finance, drawing on financial communication and, more largely, papers drawing on the relationship between consumer value creation and shareholder value creation

The best contribution in both fields will be presented an award.

When sending their paper, the authors who wish to compete for this award are invited to indicate “Submission in the category “European Works” or “Submission in the category “Marketing-Finance” on the first cover page of their article.

Deadlines

Submission of papers: December 1st 2008 at the following email address: afm2009@escp-eap.net.

This date is imperative, because of the specific constraints of the conference which will take place in London. Papers submitted after December 1st, 2008, will not be accepted.

Notifications to authors: early February 2009
Registration is possible as of January 5th, 2009.

Instructions to authors

Papers can be submitted in French or in English. They must be submitted strictly in the following format:

Word/PC 2003 (format pdf or word 2007 are not allowed); Times New Roman; size 12; A4; the pages must be numbered; 2.5cm page margins, double spacing.

The length of the papers must be between 10 and 20 pages including all tables, figures, notes, references and appendices, except for the two first pages.

All the tables and figures must be numbered and included in the text.

The document must be named after the initial(s) of the first name and the entire name of the first author. For example, for Olivier Badot, the name of the document would be obadot.doc (with a number if the author submits several papers).

The first page contains the paper’s title, the name(s) of the author(s), his/her/their position and the name of his/her/their institution, acknowledgements (if any) and the complete address of the contact author (postal address, telephone and email address).

The second page contains the title of the paper in French and in English, an abstract of maximum 100 words in English and a maximum of 5 key words.

The titles of the tables and the figures, and the references should match the guidelines of the RAM Journal (www.revue-ram.org).

Proposals for papers must be original in the sense that they should not have been submitted previously to any other AFM conference or workshop, neither should they be under review for publication in a journal.

All papers will be anonymously reviewed by two reviewers. Therefore, the paper must not contain any information identifying the author.

A template can be downloaded on the web site www.escp-eap.eu/afm2009.

Contributions which do not respect these instructions will not be reviewed.
