BABCOCK GRADUATE SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT

Wake Forest University’s Babcock Graduate School of Management invites applications to join our marketing faculty, beginning fall 2009. Candidates at all ranks will be considered, though strong preference will be given to those with strong academic track records and significant practical marketing experience.

POSITION SUMMARY: A successful candidate will join a small but vibrant marketing faculty and will engage in scholarly research. Teaching loads and compensation are competitive.

QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. or equivalent in Marketing or a closely related field. A successful candidate will have strong experience with, and facility with, application of marketing research and marketing metrics/analytics (e.g., market demand and forecasting, budgeting and breakeven analysis, and financial/accounting metrics). A strong history of scholarly research is also expected, along with evidence of excellence in teaching Marketing Analytics and/or Marketing Strategy courses.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Contribute to cutting-edge marketing thought, through scholarly research that is published in top-tier journals.
  • Teach courses in our various academic programs, which include full-time and part-time MBA curricula. MBA Classes are taught on both our Winston-Salem, NC and Charlotte, NC campuses. In addition, Wake Forest is currently pursuing a strategic planning initiative that aims to enhance the integration between the Babcock School and the Calloway School of Business and Accountancy; thus, undergraduate teaching assignments are also possible.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL: The Babcock Graduate School of Management has campuses in Winston-Salem, NC (on the beautiful grounds of Wake Forest University) and in Charlotte, NC, where we are building a new, state-of-the art educational facility. The Babcock School has approximately 35 full-time faculty (currently five faculty slots in marketing) and is one of five professional schools affiliated with this highly esteemed private university.

This fall, we have proudly welcomed Steve Reinemund as the new Dean of Business at Wake Forest. He brings to us the exceptional leadership and strong values that he honed during his 23 years with PepsiCo, for which he ultimately served as chairman and CEO. Dean Reinemund is currently leading an exciting strategic planning effort that will redefine and reinvigorate business education at Wake Forest.
