It gives us at IIM Ahmedabad immense pleasure to invite doctoral students of your institute to participate in the second IIMA Doctoral Colloquium to be held on 5th and 6th of January, 2009 in IIMA campus.

IIMA Doctoral Colloquium was held for the first time on 3rd and 4th of January 2008. This is a meet of doctoral students involved in research in the field of management and allied disciplines. It is a great opportunity for the doctoral students to discuss their research work and receive feedback on their work from their peers and distinguished academicians from the field of management. They also get a chance to participate in a series of workshop, panel discussion and other events on a wide variety of topics like theory building and publishing facilitated by distinguished Indian and international experts. Our attempt is to make this, an event of global stature to connect and make the research in India the best in the world.

The objectives of the meet are

• To share knowledge and learn from each other.
• To initiate networking amidst management and allied researchers.
• To explore emerging areas of research in management and forge partnerships for the same.

Best papers will be felicitated with attractive prizes and cash awards.

Last date for receiving abstracts for the meet is 30 September, 2008.

I request you to circulate this information among the doctoral students and the faculty members in your institute. Please also circulate the same to others in your network who you think would be interested in this event.
