Marketing Department Chair Position
The Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire invites applications for the position of Chair of the Marketing Department beginning Fall 2009. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Marketing or a related field and attained the rank of Associate or Full Professor of Marketing at an AACSB accredited school, have a distinguished track record of publication in leading journals, evidence of strong teaching performance and previously demonstrated an interest in leadership through service in departmental, school, university or professional association leadership roles. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and rank.
The Whittemore School’s Marketing Department is responsible for 50 – 60 courses annually in eight different degree programs. Approximately two-thirds of the courses are at the undergraduate level. The department teaches graduate courses in the Full-time MBA program, Part-time MBA program (two locations), Executive MBA program, and two MS in Management of Technology (MOT) programs.
Assistant/Associate Professor of Marketing
The Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire invites applications for two tenure-track positions in Marketing beginning Fall 2009 or until filled. One position is at the Assistant Professor rank and the other is at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. Candidates for Assistant Professor must demonstrate strong research skills with the potential to publish in leading academic journals and must have a PhD in Marketing or a related field (or plan to complete it by Fall 2009). Candidates for Associate Professor must have a distinguished track record of publication in leading journals, evidence of strong teaching performance and a willingness to take a leadership roles in the department. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and rank.
We seek candidates whose teaching and research interests are in:
- Marketing strategy, marketing management, development of systems.
- Market opportunity analysis, marketing research
- Services marketing and/or directing student consulting projects.
The University of New Hampshire is located in Durham, a college town of 10,000, 75 miles north of Boston, 15 minutes to Atlantic beaches and two hours to the White Mountains. The University is home to 11,000 undergraduates and 2,500 graduate students. The American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accredits the Whittemore School of Business and Economics. In June of 2008 the Whittemore School received a $25 million gift to support its plans for a new building and the expansion of its programs.
