PROFESSOR (OR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR) OF MARKETING
Monash University, Melbourne, Australia

Monash University is seeking two outstanding appointees to lead teaching and research in the Department of Marketing, Faculty of Business and Economics. The Department of Marketing is the largest provider of tertiary level marketing education in Australia with over 40 full time academic staff and approximately 40 PhD students. The department aims to be recognised by key stakeholder communities as the leader in marketing education and research in Australia and the Asia Pacific region.

The appointees will assume significant responsibilities, jointly with other senior staff, to enhance the international focus of the department’s research and teaching, develop and maintain a high profile research engagement, promote a successful PhD program and mentor academic staff. The appointees will be expected to pursue both traditional and innovative sources of research funding.

Applicants should have: a research doctorate in a relevant discipline; an international reputation for outstanding research; a record of publications in top tier journals; a record of obtaining external grants for research and of successful supervision of doctoral research students; proven excellence in teaching; highly developed leadership, networking and management skills.

Appointment will be on a continuing basis and will be made at a level appropriate to the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Remuneration package: professorial: $A155,285 per annum; associate professorial: $A120,550 – $A132,805 per annum (including employer superannuation contribution of 17%). A competitive remuneration package will be negotiable for an outstanding candidate. Relocation travel, removal allowance and salary packaging are available.
