New Mexico State University’s Department of Marketing is seeking applicants for a tenure track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Successful candidates possess a doctorate in business administration with a Marketing major from an AACSB accredited school or equivalent. ABDs will be considered. Effective teaching and research leading to publication is essential. The candidate is expected to be an effective instructor at the undergraduate and MBA level, with special interest in providing guidance and instruction in the Marketing doctoral program. In particular, we seek candidates interested in graduate instruction of tools courses such as multivariate analysis, structural equation modeling and related areas of research design and analysis. Greater flexibility can be accommodated in topical interest areas for undergraduate instruction.  Currently, we strive to provide more focused mentoring of our doctoral candidates and thus admit a cohort once every four years. This allows greater flexibility in balancing our commitment to both graduate and undergraduate education. 

Appointment is for nine months, starting August 17, 2009.  If amenable to the candidate, a start date of January 8, 2009 may be considered. The position is tenure track with possible summer teaching. Competitive salary commensurate with experience and education.

New Mexico State University (approximate enrollment 16,000) is the land grant university in the state of New Mexico.  It is located in Las Cruces, one of the fastest growing cities in the Southwest.  The College of Business is an AACSB accredited program which has approximately 2100 undergraduates, 150 MBAs, and 30 Ph.D. students.
