Marketing Journal Prestige Survey Results
A total of 309 people responded to our survey regarding prestige of various marketing journals. To those of you who responded, thank you very much for your time and input!
Characteristics of respondents include:
73% from the United States
99% affiliated with a college or university
Of these, 89% tenured or on the tenure track
29% have served in an administrative capacity
78% affiliated with public universities
64% of the universities offer doctoral programs
Below, we report the results for the first list of journals, which were collected without any known errors. We included 36 journals on this first list, of which 32 were ranked by our respondents as belonging in the higher prestige categories. Using median responses, the results are as follows:
