DocSIG Pre-Conference Symposium

Eighth Annual Doctoral Student SIG Pre-Conference Symposium, San Diego, 8 Aug 2008

 ARC: Connections: ELMAR: Posting

DocSIG is pleased to announce two exciting events (registration/RSVP required) at the 2008 AMA Summer Educators Conference …

Join us on Friday, August 8, 2008 at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina (Room Seabreeze 1 & 2) from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. This Symposium is a great way to meet and interact with doctoral student colleagues and distinguished faculty, as well as gain valuable knowledge that will assist in career development. The Symposium is open to all doctoral students.

The morning will feature faculty roundtables – an opportunity to interact in small groups with faculty – including:

Michael Ahearne (University of Houston)
Michael Brady (Florida State University)
Rajesh Chandy (University of Minnesota)
Peggy Cunningham (Queen’s University)
Eli Jones (University of Houston)
Ajay Kohli (Emory University)
Richard Lutz (University of Florida)
Robert Morgan (University of Alabama)
Vanessa Patrick (University of Georgia)
Rosemary Ramsey (Wright State University)
… and more!

Symposium participants will attend a luncheon hosted by the Marketing Doctoral Students Association. In the afternoon, participants have a choice of two sessions: (1) ‘Meet the Editors’ hosted by the Marketing Doctoral Students Association, or (2) ‘The Intangible Capital of Successful Marketing Academics’ featuring presentations and an in-depth Q&A with Professors Markus Giesler and Barbara Kahn.

The Symposium will conclude at 4:00 pm, in time for everyone to attend the Summer AMA welcome reception.
