Two Full Time, Permanent Positions Available (Lecturer / Senior Lecturer level, equivalent Assistant Professor)
Indicative Start Date: January 1 2009

The Marketing Discipline Group is well-established as a premier centre in New Zealand, for both teaching and research. Our faculty has published research articles in prestigious journals such as the Journal of Consumer Research and the Journal of Business Research, amongst others. There is a high degree of cooperation and integration between the Advertising, Marketing, Sales and the soon to be established Retailing majors.
We seek applicants with a specialist knowledge and interest in advertising and marketing communications, but particularly in integrated marketing communications or media planning. The Communication Agencies Association of New Zealand (CAANZ) / AUT Communication School provides a strong link with the advertising industry and a focus for specialized teaching and joint research projects.
We also seek a marketing research specialist capable of working closely with industry to develop and teach the topic at undergraduate level, and mount a new graduate diploma.
The successful applicant will have, or will be close to completing, a doctoral degree. Applicants must be capable of producing high-level, publishable research and be enthusiastic educators.
AUT offers immediate tenure to a suitable candidate, with generous sabbatical privileges. Faculty also receive a yearly research stipend and additional funding for research is available.
