Greetings!

We are pleased to announce results of this year’s "Who Went Where" Survey that are available for you from the American Marketing Association’s Doctoral Student Special Interest Group (DocSIG). The findings are posted on DocSIG’s website as a pdf document at http://docsig.eci.gsu.edu/.

The "Who Went Where" Survey is an annual tracking of marketing doctoral student hiring and salary trends. The results include detailed information on salary, job search, publication record, and tenure requirements. The findings provide the state of the hiring field for entering assistants.

We thank the recent hires for sharing – your input provides a benchmark for our field. We welcome your input regarding the survey instrument or the analysis; please feel free to contact me at pcui@kent.edu. Insights or questions you would like to see for next year’s survey are particularly encouraged!

We thank Dr. Pam Ellen and Jodie Ferguson for hosting the survey online; Dr. Charles Hofacker (ELMAR Moderator), Ben Lawrence and Rishtee Kumar (PhD Listserv Moderators) for advertising the survey at various web outlets; Kevin Trainor (incoming VP of Research, DocSIG) for his work on this year’s survey; and Maureen Bourassa for her valuable comments.

Again, congratulations to the new faculty class of 2008, and good luck to candidates who are on the job market this year!
