Assistant Professor of Marketing (tenure track)
Peking University, PRC

The growth of the Chinese economy over the past 30 years has attracted investments from all over the world. Beijing, being the capital of China, is a bustling cosmopolitan. It is the economic, commercial, educational, sports and cultural center of China.

The Guanghua School of Management at Peking University is the leading business school in China. The marketing department currently consists of 12 members, with a new person joining us from the Penn State University this fall. It is a young, promising and mutually supportive team. With reasonable research grants and support, our current research environment is comparable to a good research university in the US. Our BBA, MBA, and PhD programs attract the best students from all parts of China. Normal teaching load is at three courses per year.

We anticipate adding one new assistant professor position in the coming year. We are interested in candidates with expertise in behavioral research (e.g., information processing, judgment and decision making, affect and emotion, and social psychology). Young scholars and doctoral candidates with demonstrated research potential to publish in the top journals plus good teaching are essential for the assistant professor position. Chinese language ability would be advantageous.

Compared to other universities in China, we offer an attractive package and working conditions. This position is subject to budgetary approval.

We expect to attend the AMA to interview this year, so those interested please contact: Professor Hean-Tat Keh at htkeh@gsm.pku.edu.cn. Please mail or email your full CV, two significant research papers, relevant teaching evaluation, and three reference letters to us before June 30, 2008. Our address: Department of Marketing, Guanghua School of Management, Peking University, Beijing 100871, the People’s Republic of China. Please also visit our web site at: http://www.gsm.pku.edu.cn.
