The conference commences June 16th-19th, 2008 at Simmons College, Boston, MA and culminates in a joint reception with the CCT Conference that runs June 20th-22nd, at Suffolk University, Boston, MA.
As you can see, we have an amazing lineup of papers from many parts of the world and encompassing many different facets of gender. Our track structure yielded great papers in the area of Feminism and TCR, Masculinity, Gender and the Body, and Visual Consumption and Gender. We also incorporated a working paper poster session for the first time which includes papers from authors as far as Japan and well-known names such as Russ Belk.
We conclude the 2 ½ day conference with a panel led by Lisa Penaloza, that discusses the connections between Gender and CCT. This panel serves as a wonderful bridge event between the Gender Conference and the CCT Conference that begins the next day.
