Tenure-Track – 2009-2010
California State University Fullerton (CSUF) Department of Marketing invites applicants for a tenure-track position, beginning August 2009.

Position

Candidates at all levels and with all research and teaching backgrounds will be considered, including graduating doctoral students. Preference may be given to candidates with interest and experience in the following areas:

  • Sales management
  • Marketing Strategy
  • Brand Management
  • Product and/or services marketing, with an emphasis on the use of the latest marketing technology, including data mining, data warehousing, and analysis of panel data to successfully manage the product or service
  • Management of marketing channels, including an understanding of supply chain management, logistics and retail management

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have:

A Ph.D. in Marketing from an AACSB accredited or equivalent university (Ph.D. must be completed by July 2009);

University-level teaching experience with evidence of high quality teaching;

A well-defined research agenda for publications in high-quality journals;

A strong desire to work with a diverse student body as well as advise and interact with students.

Relevant industry experience is highly desirable.

Rank and Salary

Rank is at the Assistant/Associate Professor level, tenure-track. Salary is competitive and commensurate to rank, experience and qualifications. The College and Department

The College of Business and Economics at Cal State Fullerton is one of the largest business schools in the United States offering comprehensive undergraduate programs and a selection of MBA programs for working professionals. Our faculty has diverse research interests and holds Ph.D.s from some of the best schools in the United States. The College of Business and Economics has charted an aggressive growth path for the coming decade. In fall 2008, the Marketing Departments will move into a new building for the College. The new facility will include a sales lab and will house a new sales center.

The University

CSUF has the most diverse student body of any campus in the Cal State University system and is located in the heart of the second largest metropolitan area in the U.S. The campus is within a one-hour drive of downtown Los Angeles and the major movie studios, Venice Beach and Laguna Beach and mountain ski resorts.
