Marketing Faculty (9 month, Tenure-track)
College of Business
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Individual will cover various marketing program courses, from principles to strategy – including sales and sales management. S/he will participate in development and improvement of curriculum and curriculum delivery; participate in service work including student engagement activities and committees; engage scholarly activities and professional development aligned with current and emergent programmatic needs. Faculty members also have professional responsibilities which may include advising students, orientation and registration of students, participation in University committees, keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance. Faculty members may be required to teach off-campus and/or on-line.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required – Ph.D. in marketing or related field (ABD will be considered) with relevant work experience and college level teaching experience in marketing or related areas (e.g. advertising and public relations). Should possess experience/expertise in strategic and operational aspects of marketing and sales. Strong teaching/advising as well as a commitment to service and scholarly activity in support of teaching are expected as well as a facility for collaboration and communication. Capacity to evolve curricular offerings and mediums, utilizing face to face, online, and blended strategies. Willing/able to redirect teaching and scholarly activities to accommodate changing market needs reflecting application of a continuous quality improvement framework.
Preferred – Work experience beyond the entry level in marketing preferably within the medical, financial services, or sport entertainment industries in order to contribute to development of curriculum and programming in one of these areas. Significant work experience in marketing or related subject matter.
SALARY:
Salary is commensurate with qualifications
