The Department of Management and Marketing invites applications for a tenure track, assistant professor position in Marketing beginning fall 2008.
Appropriate candidates would hold a Ph.D./DBA in Marketing or related disciplines and would be expected to teach core and elective courses in this area at the MBA and undergraduate levels. Any one or two of the following teaching and research interests can be accommodated: Brand Management, Business-to-business Marketing, Buyer Behavior, Direct Marketing or Marketing for Not-for-profit Organizations. Candidates are expected to conduct research and publish in their primary and/or secondary areas. Opportunities for research and collaboration exist with faculty across the College as well as with the business development centers within the College, and research institutes across the university.
The university is located on the Columbia Point peninsula surrounded by Boston Harbor and is recognized nationally as a model of excellence for urban universities. The large number of technology companies, financial service firms, and elite universities in the immediate area offer considerable opportunities for research and collaboration.
The university’s highest academic priorities are to continue to build research excellence and intellectual diversity in a collaborative scholarly community. The university has nationally recognized research programs in environmental science, health, and public policy fields, and this year received research funding totaling over $30 million dollars.
