DEPARTMENT OF MARKETING
Applications are invited for two full-time Lecturer positions in the Department of Marketing, School of Business. Appointment will be confirmation path.
Applicants will be considered in any area of Marketing but applicants with an interest in ‘Consumer Behaviour’, ‘Market Research and Market Analysis’ and ‘Integrated Marketing Communications’ will be welcomed.
The appointees will be expected to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and experience with successful graduate supervision would also be welcomed. As well as direct qualifications in Marketing to PhD level, we are also prepared to consider applications from well-qualified candidates in other areas – for example, a PhD in Statistics or Psychology with an appropriate interest and track record in Marketing.
The Department of Marketing is one of the pre-eminent University Marketing Departments in the Southern Hemisphere, with twenty-five full-time academic staff from New Zealand and overseas bringing with them extensive academic and professional experience and providing local and international perspectives to our courses. The Department also has a strong PhD programme with over thirty current enrolments. Because of the depth and quality of our staff, we are able to offer the most extensive marketing education programme in New Zealand. The Department is also one of the largest departments within the University of Otago.
