The Department of Marketing of the Terry College of Business seeks applications and nominations for the position of Department Head. The starting date of this position is August 1, 2008.

Description:

The Head of the Department of Marketing provides academic leadership for the Department’s undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degree programs and its related research and executive education activities; guides and oversees departmental processes; makes decisions on personnel, curriculum and budget; and serves as a liaison to the College, University and business community. The Department of Marketing consists of faculty with expertise in Consumer Behavior, Marketing Strategy, Marketing Models, Sales Management, Services Marketing, and Advertising and Promotion. Requirements/Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a doctoral degree in Marketing or related discipline, and a strong record of scholarship in research and teaching that is consistent with a tenured appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. He or she will also have demonstrated effectiveness in administrative responsibilities, and must be able to work with the academic and business communities to meet research and educational demands.
