Assistant Professor of Marketing
The Management and Marketing Department has a tenure-track opening for an assistant professor of marketing starting August 15, 2008. Responsibilities include developing a productive research program; effective teaching in various marketing topics in the MBA and undergraduate programs; and mentoring students. Qualifications for the position include a Ph.D. or equivalent in marketing from an AACSB International – accredited business school. Preference will be given to candidates who have a record of quality teaching plus published research. The primary area of expertise should be consumer behavior and/or integrated marketing communication. An interest in Entrepreneurship and/or International Marketing is also a plus. Candidates for the Associate Professor position are expected to have an established record of scholarship with publications in solid peer-reviewed journals.
The Management and Marketing Department has twelve full-time faculty with a strong commitment to outstanding teaching, quality research, and a collegial organizational culture. The department currently houses the Family-Owned Business Institute and the Genave King Rogers Business Law Center. The College of Business Administration is AACSB International accredited and is organized into three departments – Accounting and MIS, Finance and OM, and Management and Marketing – with thirty-five full-time business faculty members. Members of the CBA faculty engage in scholarship within their disciplines and also conduct inter-disciplinary scholarship with colleagues from other departments. The College has a current enrollment of approximately 700 undergraduate business students and 200 graduate business students. The College offers the BSBA, BSIBL, MBA, MTAX, and MS in Finance degrees plus some joint degrees. The College has numerous partnerships with universities in various parts of the world and excellent relationships with business and not-for-profit organizations in the region.
The University of Tulsa was founded in 1894 and is the oldest private educational institution in Oklahoma, with a total endowment of approximately $820 million. Total enrollment is about 4,100 students, distributed among four colleges: Business Administration, Engineering & Natural Sciences, Arts and Sciences, and Law.
