Boulder is authorized to recruit for one tenure-track position in marketing to begin Fall 2008.  The position is at the rank of assistant professor.  We invite nominations and applications for this position.

 

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in marketing or a related field (or be near completion), show evidence of excellence in research, and demonstrate the ability to teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels.  Candidates must also be able to interact effectively with faculty, students, and external constituencies including the business community.  The candidate’s area of specialized training and orientation to marketing scholarship (behavioral or quantitative) are open.

Colorado is an endowed, AACSB accredited school whose vision is to create both knowledge and leaders that will advance business practice and facilitate societal change.  It employs 55 tenure-track faculty and offers undergraduate and graduate (M.B.A., M.S., and Ph.D.) programs.  Current enrollment includes over 3,000 undergraduate majors, 175 master’s students, and 45 Ph.D. students.  The Leeds School resides in a newly renovated state of the art, 160,000 square foot building that includes include a 68,000 volume library with associated electronic media center, career development office, integrated research testing laboratories, and the Business Research Division, which supports faculty and student research activities as well as providing information services to Colorado business and government.  The

Second Position


The Leeds School of Business at the

University of

Colorado at

Boulder is redesigning its undergraduate business curriculum to increase rigor, relevance, and integration of 21st century business issues.  As part of this effort, the Marketing Division is seeking applications for a non-tenure track faculty position in marketing to teach multiple sections of the Division’s critical, first-level, large lecture format Marketing Fundamentals course.  A successful applicant should have a strong marketing background, a history of prior teaching success, and a demonstrated ability to challenge and motivate undergraduate business students.  A PhD in marketing or a related area is preferred; an advanced degree (e.g., Masters) is required.  

The Leeds School of Business employs close to 60 tenure-track faculty and over 30 non-tenure track instructors and lecturers.  Current student enrollments include over 3,000 undergraduate majors, 275 masters students, and 45 doctoral candidates.  Additional information about the Leeds School of Business and the Marketing Division can be found at:  http://leeds.colorado.edu
