Eastern Michigan University, Marketing Department – Assistant Professor. The Department invites applications for a tenure-track marketing position in strategic marketing management, starting fall 2008, pending budget approval. Interest in Integrated Marketing Communications or Customer Relationship Management is desirable. Situated in a metropolitan university, the College of Business is accredited by the AACSB International. The primary focus of the college/department is on teaching a diverse body of over 3000 undergraduate and 800 graduate domestic and international students. The department currently consists of 18 full time tenured or tenure-track faculty members from marketing and law disciplines who are represented by the American Association of University Professors (AAUP).

Candidates should possess a doctorate in business administration from an AACSB accredited school (or an equivalent degree) with credentials to teach in the strategic marketing management area using writing intensive and activity-based teaching approaches (e.g. simulations and projects); ABDs close to completion will be considered. Candidates must be committed to conducting scholarly research, teaching marketing courses and performing service activities for the university. Priority will be given to candidates with publications, industry experience, and relevant teaching experience.

Preference will be given to applications received before August 1, 2007. The selection process will begin starting at the AMA summer educator’s conference in Washington DC, Aug 3, 2007 and will continue until the position is filled.
