Visiting positions at all ranks

The School of Marketing within the University of Technology, Sydney invites expressions of interest for visiting appointments. Consideration will be given to candidates of all ranks: associate lecturer, lecturer/assistant professor, senior lecturer, associate professor and full professor; appointments can be full-time or fractional/part-time. Applicants for a visiting appointment at the level of lecturer/assistant professor or above need to have earned a PhD degree at the time of appointment.

The School is recognized for excellence in theory-driven, practice-relevant research and teaching in the areas of Strategic Marketing Management, Understanding and Predicting Consumer and Managerial Decision Making, and Marketing Research Theory and Methods; and has a vibrant research culture with strong industry links. The School offers research degrees at Masters and PhD levels as well as Honours level and coursework Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Marketing and teaches in the MBA programs.

The visiting program is designed to allow leading researchers and/or teachers to visit the School of Marketing within UTS to promote research and teaching innovation and international collaboration. The duration of these visits is flexible.

The program is designed to allow outstanding scholars and/or teachers to visit the School and work with one or more of its staff for a period of 2 weeks to 12 months. It is anticipated that visitors would be involved with some of the following activities (depending on the length of stay): research; conducting seminars and workshops; mentoring early career academics; advising PhD students; co-authoring journal papers and working on grant applications with the Schools academic staff; and potentially teaching. The positions are funded.

We invite expressions of interest in these visiting positions from interested candidates. Faculty members will attend several conferences where initial interviews can be arranged. These conferences are the INFORMS Marketing Science Conference in Singapore, and the AMA Summer Marketing Educators Conference in Washington DC.
